Doing Business with a Servant's Heart
Lead from the front Featuring: Colonel David Sutherland
Sutherland is both a leader and an entrepreneur. He currently serves as President of Sutherland Partnership, Inc. and Chairman of Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services
Following more than three decades of military service in the U.S. Army, Colonel Sutherland is now working with many corporations, nonprofits and government organizations on leadership, organizational culture and veteran inclusion. He is a published author and speaks in front of communities around the country.
Colonel Sutherland culminated his military service as the Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, focusing on Warrior and Family Support. In that position, he created a support network providing grassroots solutions for veterans and military families living with uncertainty. Prior to his assignment at the Pentagon, he served during Surge Operations in Iraq as the coalition force commander in the volatile Diyala Province. He has commanded Soldier’s at all levels, from Platoon to Brigade Combat Team, and has served around the globe including seven combat tours in Southwest Asia.
In addition to his active duty and post military service, Sutherland is also known for his philanthropic work. He is recognized for his courage on and off the battlefield and is an untiring advocate for the quality of life for service members, military veterans, their families, and the families of our fallen.
