John McGlothin, a Jag officer, is interviewed about his experience in the military and how it has shaped his life.

John talks about his upbringing and how it instilled in him the importance of making his own decisions. He also talks about the importance of getting honest feedback and how the military helped him develop self-awareness.

John gives advice to young people who are interested in joining the military. He says that it is a broad spectrum of jobs and lifestyles and that people should do their research to find a good fit. He also talks about the importance of being prepared for the challenges of military life, such as deployment.

John defines serving as placing the benefit of others first. He talks about how the military is a place where people can rely on each other and look out for each other. He also talks about the importance of taking responsibility for your actions and how sometimes you have to make tough decisions.
